| Purpose: |
Environmental remediation is becoming a critical necessity in China, particularly in industrial areas of the northeast where large amounts of toxic contaminants have previously been discharged to the environment. These pollutants are distributed through air, water and land, and seriously influence environmental quality. In this project, appropriate chemical and ecological methods for the remediation of contaminated water and soil will be developed. This project is a component of the "973" Chinese National Key Research Program. |
