Professor Jun-Wen Li will visit A/professor Richard Stuetz

Professor Jun-Wen Li from Department of Environment and Health in Institute of Environment and Health, Tianjin, China, will visit A/Professor Richard Stuetz from August 2006 for one year research on PhAC biodegradation and bacterial resistance.

Professor Li has a strong research background in the field of environmental microbiology. He has been involved in the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) and the National Natural Science Foundation. His research mainly focuses on the purification and re-use of wastewater by biological methods, bio-safety evaluation of recycling water, screening and application of pollutant degradation bacteria, as well as detection of common pathogenic bacteria or viruses in environments by immunological and molecular approach.
